eleve welcomes leonid into the family with otherworld ep. the madrid-based irish producer has deployed during the last years some of the finest records of the house panorama, for labels such as sistrum, dolly or more recently freebeat. this record fits perfectly in the red series started in eleve 02 by dj f and jose rico, with the focus on the dancefloor. leonid brings a three-track ep whose amazing sound and percussion, trademark basslines and detroitish leads and pads promise to transport many dancers to other worlds. a side starts with xana, an esoteric house excursion with a mechanical edge. next track is púca, in the spirit of his deepest previous work with a characteristic syncopated bassline. b side long track is embarr, an adventurous imagination trip across the sea, classic leonid elements such relentless percussion and heavy bassline meets acid elements to create a one-way ticket to universal sub-conscience.

andré laos second act on let s play house is a continuation of his first. like roundabout, nordic delight (the guy hails from gothenburg, so you can guess where the title originated), is sunny and bright piano laden house that s as melodious as it is layered and ornate. unlike that ep, though, this one really revolves around one track stroganoff which is presented in three different forms: a vocal mix, a piano stew dub, and a remix from anton klint of tiedye. supplementing and equalizing those is kalops, the 12inches second original.

having previously released together on other labels, friends and musical partners tomoki tamura and tuccillo activate a new stage of their relationship with the unveiling of doublet. both a new production moniker and label, doublet will act as a platform for the pair to channel their own music. tomoki and his holic trax label have long been serving up solid house music whilst tuccillo has conjured up numerous chart toppers on labels like 2020vision, visionquest and holic trax. the debut doublet release takes shape as 202, a three track 12inch that blends elements of classic house with future minimalism with the results undoubtedly stylish.

for the second release on her return to disorder label, helena hauff taps into the dark underbelly of the athens techno scene and presents the undoubted talents of greek producer morah. a resident at athens party phormix, morah has clearly been crafting his productions skills in private for some time as this three track 12inch is a powerful display of techno at its dankest. solution sets the tone, dipping into gnarled acid electro that seems to teeter on the brink of all out chaos with fellow a-side track take all similarly nasty. morah gets a chance to show his more experimental side with up in flames, a scorched exercise in freeform electronics with some particularly haunting vocals.
